Overview

Council's Right to Information Publication Scheme describes and categorises information routinely available from the department. It has been developed to give the community greater access to information held by local government. Information is grouped and accessible through seven classes:

Some of the documents on this site are currently only available in pdf format. Should you be unable to read these documents please contact the Council and we will endeavour to meet all reasonable requests for an alternative format of the document.

Information not covered by the Publication Scheme

Not all information the Council published is detailed in the Publication Scheme. Information that is not published can be requested using the Right to Information request for below. Your request will be considered under the provisions of the Right to Information Act.

The Right to Information Act sets out a range of information that is exempt from publication. if you make a request for information which Council considers to be exempted, we will advise you of the reasons for the exemptions.

Councillors Legislative Information and Register of Interests

The Councillors Register of Interests provides all legislated information for Councillors, including the role of the Mayor and Councillors, the Councillor Code of Conduct Policy, Remuneration, Complaints and the Councillor Register of Interests.

Budget

The Council budget focused on reducing the operating deficit, while endeavouring to maintain the same level of service during the current financial period.

Revenue Statement

The Revenue Statement provided details on Council's rating structure, including special levies and charges and the differential rates and categories.

Fees and Charges

Councils schedule for fees and charges is adopted each year as part of its annual budget.

Financial Statements

Council presents a comprehensive set of Financial Statements within the Annual Report. These Financial Statements have been independently audited by the Queensland Audit Office.

What our priorities are and how we are doing

Council's Corporate Plan

The Corporate Plan enables the whole organisation to work together in the same direction to address the key priorities for the community and achieve Council's vision. The Corporate Plan is a way for Council to communicate its direction with its stakeholders, particularly the community, and provides a framework for reporting back on progress achieved through the various activities on the organisation.

Council's Operational Plan

Each year Council, in accordance with the Local Government Act, adopts an Operational Plan(PDF, 817KB) which identifies 'activities' that work toward achieving the goals, objectives and strategies outlines in the Corporate Plan. The Operational Plan is the key management document, crucial to the strategic running of the Council.
