Commencing on Monday, 3rd February 2020, Bulloo Shire Council will be conducting a full animal inspection of all properties inside the Thargomindah Designated Town area.

Commencing on Monday, 3rd February 2020, Bulloo Shire Council will be conducting a full animal inspection of all properties inside the Thargomindah Designated Town area.
The purpose of the inspection is to enforce the Animal Management Act 2008 (Dogs and Cats) and the Bulloo Shire Council Local Law No.2 (Animal Management) within the Thargomindah designated town area, in particular:

  • ascertain ownership of all unregistered animals, to enforce registration and permits; and
  • ensure all animal enclosures comply with requirements

Fines will be issued for any animals that are in breach of the Animal Management Act 2008 (Dogs and Cats) and Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management).
A complete copy of the approved Thargomindah Animal Inspection Program is available to purchase for $0.60 at the Bulloo Shire Council Office, 68 Dowling Street, Thargomindah. This program will be completed by Friday, 26th June 2020.
